Black Stallion Winery is the newest edition to the small collection of wineries in the Oak Knoll District and growing region. Established in April 2004, Oak Knoll District is Napa Valley’s most recently designated appellation. Brothers Terrance and Michael Maglich purchased the 11-acre estate in 2005 and immediately began renovating the property to feature a state-of-the-art winery and extensive hospitality center featuring a large tasting room and oval bar, club members only room, and two private dinning rooms. The winery name was inspired by the horse ranching that dominated this region throughout most of the 1800’s. Behind the new visitor center and barrel cellar sits the original equestrian center that operated on the property for over 50 years. The 20,000 square foot equestrian center once featured an indoor riding track and horse stables and is now being retrofit to house the winery’s production operations.
Black Stallion wines are only available for purchase through our tasting room and website.
